Description: Xiadani is a full-figured, older woman, with skin that was dark even before spending so much time in the Sun.  Her black hair falls to her waist and it is starting to be shot through with white, her eyes are a dark and compassionate brown.  She dresses in colorful clothes that emphasize her figure heightened by heavy jewelry she wears, mostly of silver with a bit of gold.

Xiadani is usually cheerful and encouraging; she wants people to know that there is a better world if they are willing to work for it.  If this better world will have dragons in it. is something she does not discuss or imply, leaving it for others to decide.  She is happy to join in on work and she is very good with plants and children.

Background: Born far from the center of the Empire, Xiadani comes from a family of Sun worshippers, not encouraged but not banned in her region.  But she saw from the Sun, the growth of plants and flowers, and how growing things support all other living beings.  She came to realize that by building a world of plants and flowers, the old balance could be restored and the world healed.

She set out to spread her insights, careful never to attack or question the dragons who rule over all.  Xiadani sees her role as casting seeds upon the ground, hoping they will grow into beautiful flowers.

Presenting this Character: Xiadani is everyone’s friendly aunt, sure of her path forward and hoping to lead by example.  She gives freely of her knowledge, her work, and her magic.  Xiadani welcomes those who join her and golds out hope that other will as well, giving time and a good reason.

What can she do?: She is an expert gardener and farmer, skilled at making natural medicines, and a reknown healer and midwife.  All things she is sought out for.  That Xiadani has access to magic that makes all of her skills that much more effective, just makes her more in demand.

There are also no small number of people who feel indebted to Xiadani for the aid she has freely given.  She would never ask for those debts to be repaid except in dire circumstances; the knowledge of that fact just makes people more willing to help her in minor ways.

Who might know her and why: While she does not travel quickly, she travels constantly, rarely staying in any one place more than a week or so, thus is is easily possible for a character to have met Xiadani.  She tends to leave an impression.

She sends word back to her extended family and tries to let them know where she will be.  Occasionally, a cousin will seek her out to learn from her for months or years before returning home.

Plot Hooks: A group of soldiers, obviously belonging to one of the Draconic Houses, is debating if they should run Xiadani out of town or worse.  Perhaps you overhear them in a tavern or on the streets.  What do you do?

If someone is suffering from a disease or a poison, Xiadani likely has a cure.

Notes: Faith still empowers priests and priestesses, even without gods, as long as they are not creating new gods, the Empress does not care, individual dragon rulers have different policies though.
