Let’s follow a recent post about KOSMOS‘ late 2025 game line-up with initial word of Ravensburger‘s titles due out in the same timeframe. Few images are available yet, though, so I’ll fill out this post as best as I can.

ā–Ŗļø Match Me If You Can, a 3-8 player game from Johannes Berger and Julien Gupta, sounds like a traditional party game:

The game features three hundred absurd questions that don’t have right or wrong answers — all that matters is that your answer matches someone else’s. Do that, and you get to level up your point marker.

Is the ideal party game something you can explain in less than a minute so that everyone can start playing? In many circumstances, yes. In this case, I suppose the tone and nature of the questions will be key. You want conversation starters and dumb things everyone can argue about and act out — at least that’s what I’d want.

ā–Ŗļø To immediately interrupt coverage of Ravensburger, I’ll note that in Q4 2025 HUCH! will release a party game called Match Me If You Can! from Jasmin Krux. What are the odds?! Here’s an overview of this 3-9 player game:

Imagine Angela Merkel, Mona Lisa, and other celebrities are now looking for matches on dating platforms — what would their profiles look like?

Each round in Match Me If You Can! a new celebrity card is revealed, whether a figure from history or a star from today. Use your text cards to create the best profile bio possible, whether charming, absurd, or romantic.

Which Match is the better match for you? (Similarly, in September 2025 Ravensburger will release Disney Villainous Unstoppable!, whereas in March 2025 Renegade Game Studios released Unstoppable. The more games released each year, the greater the chance for a repeated title.)

ā–Ŗļø In the category of “game with so much variety that you’ll get super excited about the promise of it but probably experience only 3% of it” we have Die glorreichen Gilden von Buttonville (The Glorious Guilds of Buttonville), a 2-4 player game for players aged 8 and up:

Buttonville shines in the midday sun, but the cobblestone streets echo empty. Only the legendary guilds outside the gates vie to send their best minds.

In this game, you slip into the role of a guild master and fill your neighborhood with quirky inventors, cunning traders, and fearless guards to transform the sleepy little town into a place full of life and laurel wreaths.

Each round, you take two cards, whether directly from the market or blindly from the deck. Once you’ve gathered enough like-minded people, you lay down a set: three gossiping bards grant a song of power sounds, while four nimble blacksmiths provide a discount boost for additional recruits. Your sets provide instant effects, enhance each other, and ultimately yield victory points. Timing, a knack for probability, and a touch of luck with the cards are the key to your triumph.

The unrelated Toronto-area Buttonville Municipal Airport, which closed in 2023

What’s special about them? The synergies grow like ivy: the larger a set, the stronger its effect. Should you spontaneously play three identical cards or eagerly wait for the fourth? Add to that the modular market system, which sets up each game differently. Thanks to 46 different villagers, no game will be the same.

Grab the guild flag now, recruit your troops, and secure the glory Buttonville deserves!

ā–Ŗļø KeksekƤstchen, a.k.a. Cookie Party, is a 2-5 player game from Ralf zur Linde due out in September 2025, and your goal is to create your own box of cookies by partitioning them bit by bit:

KeksekƤstchen is a bingo-style, roll-and-write game filled with adorable cookies!

Each player has a personal game board and a set of number tokens. At the start of the game, place your number tokens atop cookies on the game board. On a turn, roll the dice, then everyone simultaneously chooses where to add lines around the cookie upon which they placed that number token, and the number of lines you add depends on the number rolled — the less common the number, the more lines you draw. Everyone may move a token to another spot on their board, then it’s time to roll again!

The first person to surround all cookies of one type scores extra points. Score the most points by the end of the game to win!

ā–Ŗļø The cockroaches are back in KakerlaHex, a 2-4 player game for those aged 5 and up:

One night in the enchanted forest, the witches are brewing their potions. But what was that? Suddenly, a cockroach scurries among the magic cauldrons! If it falls into a potion, it’s spoiled.

In KakerlaHex, you must wave your magic wand and find the right magical ingredients! Whoever collects the most points for successfully brewed potions wins.

ā–Ŗļø Ravensburger has a September 2025 listing for Wer war’s?, a 2007 Reiner Knizia design that won the 2008 Kinderspiel des Jahres — but it’s not clear whether this is simply a new edition of that older game, a spinoff, or something else.

ā–Ŗļø A new electronic game coming out at the same time as the previous title is Ventopia: Die fliegende Insel, a 1-4 player game:

On the flying island of Ventopia, the protective light shield has collapsed. Nyxara, the ruler of the Dark World, wants to take control of Ventopia and sends out her dark creatures.

In Ventopia: Die fliegende Insel, which features an electronic game board, players need to use their fighting skills and a bit of luck to save the flying island from its imminent fall into the dark depths.

ā–Ŗļø Die drei ??? Scotland Yard is a licensed edition of the classic Scotland Yard, and Stitch Labyrinth and Dragon Ball: Super Labyrinth are both licensed editions of Max J. Kobbert‘s long-lived Labyrinth design.

ā–Ŗļø Ravensburger is continuing to release multiple mystery and escape room-style games, such as echoes: Ever & After and echoes tatort: Der Geisterseher, the tenth title from Matthew Dunstan and Dave Neale in this audio mystery game series.

ā–Ŗļø Ehrlich Brothers: Escape the House of Magic seems like it might be more puzzle than game — although you could argue that about echoes and other such titles as well — but here’s an overview of this October 2025 release for 2-4 players:

You’ve completely lost track of time in the House of Magic. The catapult elevator and teleporter have already shut down, and no one can hear you calling. How do you get out? Luckily, you’ve found a hidden emergency staircase, but it wouldn’t be the House of Magic if there weren’t obstacles waiting here, too!

Only those who solve the mysterious puzzles and take the steps in the correct order will reach a safe exit in the end. A total of six different exciting puzzle rounds await you!

ā–Ŗļø Following 2024’s Der magische Wald, a second Mystery Riddles: Adventskalender will be released in September 2025 — Der indische Palast:

As with other advent calendars, Mystery Riddles: Adventskalender – Der indische Palast features 24 compartments for you to open throughout December — but a tricky puzzle awaits you each day, and you must use the cards and other elements to solve the daily puzzle in order to determine which door to open the following day.
