April Fool in as March out

As you may, or may not, know, April is named after the Roman month Aprilis.  However, we are unsure where the Roman name came from.  One theory is that it refers to the opening (aperire) of buds and flowers as Spring arrives or possibly in some unclear way to the goddess Venus, for whom April is a sacred month, or perhaps something else entirely.  It remains a mystery and one unlikely to be solved.

Foolishly, April begins with its usual day of sleight of hand. clever tricks and (hopefully) artful misdirections.  Such things are not my forte so just expect a usual Tuesday with a new magic item from me.

As is my want, I am participating in the Blogging from A to Z Challenge for April, my theme this year will be Supporting Cast, characters to use in your games to interact with the player characters.  But if there is anything or anyone you would like to see, let me know, and I will try to fit it in.
