2025 Convention Previews Galore: Game Market, UKGE, Origins, and Gen Con | BoardGameGeek News

I’ve been slow to post the past few days, so let me catch you up on what’s been going on behind the scenes. Primarily, I’ve been working on three convention previews and starting a fourth one because, well, why not? These previews are:

▪️ Origins Game Fair 2025 Preview

The survey for the Gen Con 2025 Preview has just hit publishers’ inboxes, and that preview will go live on Monday, June 2.

The bottom two previews are up to date, and the Game Market Spring 2025 Preview is very much not so. I encouraged Japanese creators to reach out with game info regardless of whether the game is listed in the BGG database, and the response has been phenomenal…which means I have a lot of catching up to do before Game Market Spring 2025 opens this coming Saturday, May 17. I’ve now enlisted help to get this done since (1) I don’t want to let down people who responded to my invitation and (2) I want to discover more fun games like あののみ: あの飲み会を誰も覚えていない, which the creator translates as “ANONOMI: The Party Night We All Forgot” and which more literally translates to “ANONOMI: No One Remembers that Drinking Party”. In the game, you’re trying to deduce who placed the tuna inside the futon, who invited the sloth, and so on. Maybe it was you?! After all, you don’t remember anything about that night either…
